Venice is celebrated for its eclectic style of homes, landscape, design, cuisine and history. This tour will bring us back to our event’s roots as we visit neighborhood architectural standouts, from VCH’s stunning new affordable development to lovingly crafted single-family homes exemplifying the indoor/outdoor lifestyle. You will meet the area’s visionary architects, homeowners and share a lunch along the way.
We’ll explore the creative vitality in this rapidly-changing city, known for its remarkable culture, history, food and design. Together we will visit Gustavo Dudamel’s new Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles (Yola), three restored 1938 Rudolph Schindler architectural jewels (with lunch in the garden), and navigate the intersection between business, art, and social justice in the area.
Join art collector/consultant Cecilia Dan and art collector Marla Michaels as they lead a fascinating tour through some of DTLA’s most in-demand artists in their studios and work spaces. Gain an exclusive look into the creative process behind sustainable clothing manufacturers, painters, and enjoy lunch at a neighborhood eatery along the way.
Throughout Los Angeles, urban farming is quietly transforming underutilized land into environmentally regenerative, high producing edible landscapes that serve and transform our health, communities and environment.
This tour will visit hidden urban farms that grow food both in residential gardens and unlikely locations in the middle of a bustling city setting, repurposing land into productive urban farms and reimagining community as a place for people, food and plants to thrive. Accompany us as we learn more about sustainability, gardening, regenerative farming, community and a bounty of incredibly delicious and healthy food.
