“Mid-Century Flight,” the gala finale of the 2017 Venice Design Series, tooks guests back to the heyday of aviation at Howard Hughes corporate headquarters, now home to the innovative, award-winning ad agency 72andSunny. Guests were taken on tours of the historic building in which the “Spruce Goose” was designed and were given a peek into the original office of visionary tycoon, aviator, and Hollywood producer, Howard Hughes. Inside 72andSunny, guests also saw the original UCLA Pauley Pavilion basketball court floors, home to UCLA basketball teams, and Michael Warren, UCLA Hall of Famer, captain of three of four NCAA national championship teams (1965-67,68)  and Emmy Award-winning actor from his role on “Hill Street Blues,” relived vignettes from the best games in history. Veuve Cliquot, martinis, gourmet food, and dancing under the stars made this an amazing evening.
